*She sounds more tired than usual in this recording. The only sound is that of the wind... she's on the roof again.*
Been a while.. little while, not a long while, but it seems longer scince I have left out so much. Dru had returned safely, just so you know. She has been doing.. well. Turns out she was a slave once.. had it pretty tough. Kireta gave me an owner's manual that belonged to her former master. Planned to help her undo her conditioning.. of course.. there has scince been another game-changer.
*She is silent for a moment, as the wind whistles past the recording device. It creates an eerie, empty sound.*
Dru has decided to not train with me... it is for the same reason Ri left. She does not beleive in my ways.. the ways of the Ceterus.. therefore she doesn't want to learn from me anymore. I'm not surprised. She's not the frst, and will not be the last, but it strikes my soul like the bang of a gong.. I can't ignore it, and the echoes ring in my ears long after the note has faded.
Kark. I'm getting all poetic now. That's never good. I get all poetic... then I start getting all soft... then I have my head stuck in the clouds, my heart down in the dumps, and my brains Absent With Out Leave. I need my brains to focus on training a certain fellow who's stuck with me scince before I had to go into hiding this last time. Yeah, I have to have a bit of a talk with Jaelon.. tell him about the Jedi, the Ceterus, and everything.. ask him where he wants to go from here. If he decides to stay for now, go, or go all the way that's up to him. I figure it's only fair.
Speaking of which, just earlier he and I had a good session. He's been practicing like all holy kriff, and I wanted to see how far he's come. Pit him up against those spirit-warrior things I found on Kashyyyk. I remember when he defeated it.. he told it to be at peace. *sigh* Flashbacks. Reminds me it's getting to be about that time. About time I take that trip up to the mountains...
Anyway... here. Now. Jaelon. My impressions on his progress? Well, he certainly knows his way around a saber! It was impressive, but I noticed a couple things. I have to remember to show him how to throw a couple curve-balls himself, so maybe it won't be so much of a shock if the other guy does it. It had to be done anyway, but now it's bumped up a little in urgency- a sooner than later thing. Also, the man needs to learn how to hide. Stealth didn't seem to be on top of his bag of tricks. I'm gonna have to come up with a new trick for that one... Back when Deedax was still alive, I made him wear a skirt in the middle of Mos Eisly and pretend nothing was wrong. Well.. that's not going to work with Jaelon, I think, because he wears a skirt half the time anyway. Not that I have anything against men who wear skirts. Hell, I married one after all. What was I talking about again? Oh yeah. Come up with something else to explain stealth... etc.
*The woman yawns as she pauses.*
I suppose I'm going to have to get off the roof sooner or later and attempt to sleep. Let's hope that dream-catcher stuff from that fortune-teller lady at the market really works. I'm out.
