Entry #12

Sorry about that last bit there. It seems the Jr. decided it would be a good idea to wake up, and send all the toys flying out of the chest. Poor Arden, minding her business reading, was scared half to death by it.

*sigh*

After settling the twins down I had to rig a latch on the toy-chest to save her nerves in case he does it again. I have a sneaking suspicion, though, that little Lawrence smuggled something out of there, and into his crib. It won't make much difference now, though, because both he and his sister are safely away from that chest for now, and are sleeping soundly on mine.

Heheh.. the little rascals. When I think about how I might not have had the chance to do this again...  I think that I should get on with my story to explain what I mean. It turns out that the herb I took was the wrong one- a stronger version of the one I needed -that soon left my legs temporarily numb. Blast if it didn't happen at the most inconvenient time when those ghost-warriors were right up on my tail, surrounding me. This time, though, it felt different from just a vision. I could feel them trying to drag me from this world to the next as if their arms were wrapped around my legs. Jaelon quickly caught up to me, and tried to re-wrap my leg, but I didn't want him to see me go out like this. I don't remember how, but somehow I convinced him to leave me there for now, and go complete his journey. What came between would be better told by him than me, as he completes the last few meters of his trip and had his vision of the past. What came next is something that, while we've tried to make sense of it, I don't think we could ever explain. At the end of his vision, Jaelon appeared in front of me with his saber drawn, shouting that I didn't belong to them. There they almost had me, but he drove them away. In a flood of light, it all faded away, and there we were in the ruined temple.

Scince then, I've been in a constant state of... well.. I don't know what. It might sound cliche as hell, but there's something about being dragged half to death's door and back that makes you want to clean up a little. Heheh, I wish I could have seen the look on the Sanctuary of Light folks' faces when I showed up clean, dressed up, and on time. The Sanctuary reminds me of another story.. one that I'm still concerned about.

It seems that Ri was captured by some dark jedi who has it in for McCay. She was recovered safely, and it seems that all they did was interrogate her. Then again... we all know how often things are ever what they seem. It wouldn't be so bad if she hadn't been unconcious for a spell.. anything could have happened then. She and the baby are safe, though, and that's what's important.

Yet, it seems there's some other news to be worried about her for. Her father has finally died, and she's taking it kind of hard. It's one of those things ye wish you could be there for her for, but know it's better to leave her alone about.

*There is a long silence as she tries to figure out how to follow that up. After a spell, the recording shuts off automatically. Apperantly she's fallen asleep after all.*

*END*
